Perry Bertuzzi is a Senior Project Manager with MGM Resorts Design & Development where he works on a myriad of construction projects at various MGM Properties on the Las Vegas Strip. Mr. Bertuzzi is a graduate of Chico State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in construction management. He is also a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and a LEED AP, BD+C.
Mauricio Cardenas is a registered Professional Engineer in Nevada and has over 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. His experience includes project administration, construction management, cost and schedule evaluation, QA/QC, biddability and constructability review, and inspection of a wide range of CIP projects related to transportation, drainage, utilities, parks, and similar including elements such as: cast-in-place box girder bridges, MSE walls, retaining walls, roadway embankment and base aggregates, flexible and rigid pavement surfaces, local and regional drainage facilities, as well as potable water and sewer utility infrastructure systems, high-mast lights and traffic signals installation, and traffic control. He is proficient in several software packages for construction management and scheduling. He is also fluent in Spanish.
Cynthia Moore is a Managing Consultant at HKA in the Claims Group. She has over 25 years of public and private sector construction project management experience in the cost estimating, scheduling, budget development, constructability, and construction management fields for both home office and field operations. She has provided professional services for both owners and contractors through all phases of design and construction. Ms Moore specializes in troubled project recovery, standard of care claims, and schedule delay analysis.
Ms Moore serves on the National Construction Industry Institute Board of Governors is the Past President of the Southern Nevada Chapter of CMAA. Ms. Moore has taught estimating, scheduling, and project management at the undergraduate and graduate level for both UNLV and Stanford. She has been a presenter for multiple professional organizations, including Construction Management Association of America and the American Public Works Association.
Michael Dunning, Ph.D., P.E.
Michael applied the Civil Engineering education to the construction industry for a contractor for 9 years overseas in refinery and process unit construction, stateside contractor for an earth filled dam, freeway and infrastructure projects, construction manager consultant including 21 years Clark County Agency oversight of the construction materials in the Clark County region.
Michael joined Clark County Department of Public Works, Construction Management Division, as supervisor of the Material Quality Assurance Section. In this role, he was involved with the implementation of new specification criteria and independent assurance for the Contractor Quality Control program on new construction contracts, material source and production inspections in the Clark County Region, as well as research and development of new testing processes and quality control/assurance specifications. Michael researched materials that would increase the pavement life and more effective test methods in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Michael is presently an associate for NCE in Asphaltic Materials including pavement mix and section designs.
