Jed Wheeler

Jed Wheeler joined the CMAA Southern Nevada Branch Board as Secretary/Treasurer in 2021 and now serves as Vice-President. Jed has over 20 years of construction experience, all working in Southern Nevada. Jed has experience in multiple Design-Build, Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Bid-Build projects with scopes of work such as bridges, retaining walls, MSE walls, freeways, arterials, storm drain channels, sewer, water, pedestrian bridges, electrical and more. Outside of work, Jed enjoys surfing, wakeboarding, skiing, golf, basketball, hunting and many other outdoor activities.

Blake Gonska

Vice-President

Blake Gonska, P.E. joined the CMAA Southern Nevada Branch board as Treasurer in 2022 but has been attending luncheons, breakfast meetings, golf outings, and social events as an attendee of CMAA since 2012. Professionally, Blake has over 12 years of experience in design and construction management of wastewater treatment facilities, chemical storage facilities, gravity sewer systems, force main systems, water distribution systems, lift stations, pump stations, condition assessments, trenchless technology applications, and infrastructure rehabilitation projects.

Jeremy Leavitt

Jeremy Leavitt, P.E joined the CMAA Southern Nevada Branch board as Secretary in 2023. Jeremy has over 26 years of design and construction experience, all working in Southern Nevada. Jeremy is the Construction Manager at the City of Las Vegas Public Works Department. Jeremy has experience for a variety of projects including roadway, storm drain, sanitary sewer, parks and trails, and a variety of specialty projects.

Jess Brown

Treasurer

Jess Brown joined the CMAA Southern Nevada Branch board as Treasurer in 2024. Jess is a Construction Manager for CA Group. A UNLV Civil Engineering graduate, she has more than 10 years of professional construction management experience working on numerous construction projects in the Vegas Valley. She has supported various projects throughout the valley as an office manager, project engineer, construction inspector, and document control staff. Jess has also provided constructability review for some of NDOT’s largest projects including Centennial Bowl and I-15 Tropicana Interchange.

A native Nevadan, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Jeff and Benny. On her free time, she volunteers with numerous organizations that all highlight the need for more students in STEAM.
